Training is paid, not expected upfront
You are paid for your induction. Moving and handling, medication, safeguarding, infection control and dementia awareness are all covered before you start.

You do not need a qualification, a care background or a health CV to start with us. £16 per hour, paid induction training and shadowing with an experienced carer until you feel ready.
If you are patient, dependable and good with people, that is the part we cannot teach. Everything else, we can.
Most people who consider care work worry about the same two things: whether they will know what to do, and whether they will cope with the harder moments. Both are fair questions, and neither is a reason to rule yourself out. Knowing what to do is a matter of training and repetition. Coping comes from good support and honest conversations with people who have done the job for years.
What we cannot train is temperament. Whether you can sit with someone who is confused without hurrying them. Whether you notice that the biscuit tin has not been touched all week. Whether you would rather stay ten minutes longer than leave a conversation unfinished. If that sounds like you, the experience genuinely does not matter.
The people we support in Salisbury are not looking for clinicians. They are looking for someone reliable, kind and consistent who turns up when they said they would.
You are paid for your induction. Moving and handling, medication, safeguarding, infection control and dementia awareness are all covered before you start.
You go out with an experienced carer on real visits. If you are not confident at the end of shadowing, you shadow for longer. Nobody is pushed out alone early.
The same hourly rate whether or not you have care experience, with enhanced weekend pay and mileage covered between visits.
Two mornings a week, school hours, evenings or weekends only. Many of our team fit care around family, study or another job.
We recruit for patience, warmth and reliability. Skills can be taught in a fortnight; the way you talk to someone having a difficult morning cannot.
Plenty of our carers start with companionship visits and move into personal care, overnight work or live-in placements as their confidence and interests grow.
These roles are open to applicants with no previous care experience. Paid training and shadowing are included in every one.
The most common starting point for people new to care. Longer visits centred on company, a walk, help with shopping and light housework, and keeping an eye on how someone is doing. No care experience needed at all.
Regular visits helping people with washing and dressing, meals, medication prompting and getting about their home safely. Full paid induction training and shadowing before you visit anyone on your own.
Sleeping in a client's home so support is there if it is needed overnight, usually helping once or twice before a short morning handover. Suits people who want fewer, longer shifts rather than several daytime visits.
Week one is training and paperwork: your induction sessions, DBS and references, meeting the office team and learning how our visits and records work. You are paid for this time.
Week two is shadowing. You go out with an experienced carer on their round, watching and gradually helping. You will meet the people you are likely to support and see how visits differ from home to home. Nobody expects you to lead anything yet.
By week three, most people are taking a small number of their own visits, usually the calmer companionship calls first, with your shadow carer and the office both a phone call away. By the end of the month you will have your own regular round, and the people on it will already recognise your knock.
An enhanced DBS check and two references are needed before you start.
We arrange and pay for the DBS. Something on your record is not automatically a barrier, so please tell us early and we will look at it fairly rather than filtering you out.
Yes. A large share of our team had never worked in care before joining us. We recruit on character and train the rest. Retail, hospitality, childcare, cleaning, driving and parenting all build skills that transfer into care far better than people expect.
None to apply. No NVQ, no Care Certificate, no health background required. We provide paid induction training and support you through the Care Certificate once you have started if you want to pursue it.
A paid induction covering moving and handling, medication support, safeguarding, infection control, dementia awareness, personal care and record keeping. Then shadowing with an experienced carer on real visits until you are genuinely comfortable.
It can be. You will be on your feet, driving between visits and sometimes assisting people with mobility. Our training teaches you how to do this safely and we never expect a carer to attempt something unsafe alone. We are honest about the demands at interview rather than after you start.
That is a reasonable thing to find out, and it is better discovered early. There is no obligation beyond your notice period. We would far rather you were honest with us than stayed in work you did not enjoy while supporting people who deserve someone who does.
For most visiting rounds, yes, as they cover Salisbury and the villages around it. Mileage is paid. If you do not drive, get in touch anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we have anything walkable or bus-reachable.
You do not need a CV to apply. Tell us a little about yourself, your availability and why care appeals to you. We reply to every application within two working days.
